With a unique combination of techniques, Tim has developed a treatment method that is highly effective and empowering for the client.
Utilizing:
NeuroMuscular Reprogramming*
Acupoint Integrative Testing**
Sports Massage
Deep Tissue Massage
Myofascial Release
Trigger Point Release
Swedish massage
Cranial Sacral Therapy
Acupressure
Each individual is evaluated and then treated with the most effective combination of the above methods.
*The keystone to every treatment is NeuroMuscular Reprogramming (NMR). From the
Institute of Conscious Bodywork
website
“What is
NMR?
NeuroMuscular Reprogramming® is an approach to structural bodywork that engages the motor control center in the brain to rewrite the motor programs governing coordinated movement. Our course teaches practitioners to quickly correct the dysfunctional postural and movement patterns that result from overuse and injury. These are the source of mystifying chronic pain and degeneration in muscles and joints. Practitioners trained in our NMR courses can assist rapid healing of acute injuries and relief from chronic pain.
How Does it Work?
NMR uses muscle testing to assess specific structural imbalances and the dysfunctional relationships within coordination patterns. Muscle testing expands proprioceptive feedback and cues the brain for reprogramming. NMR enables you to be very specific in your treatments and to locate the most strategic place to work. NMR is an essential piece of effective rehabilitation.“
Using NMR as a tool to assess muscle balance, function and compensation patterns allows Tim to do work that will have a lasting effect and allow for true change to occur. Once dysfunctional patterns are discovered, one or more of the other techniques are employed to release the muscles and/or fascia. After releasing, the dysfunctional pattern is re-tested and the normal pattern is restored. Each session consists of a series of muscle tests in conjunction with other muscle/fascia release techniques.
AcuPoint Integrative Testing (AIT) is also employed to determine underlying nutritional needs. Like NMR, AIT uses muscle testing in conjunction with acupressure points to assess the body’s nutritional status and determine the appropriate supplements that are needed to support it. Please see the AIT description page for more information about AIT and Standard Process Supplements.
